The World Health Organization points out that hearing impairment is the most widely prevalent sensory organ disability globally, exhibiting the characteristics of "three highs and one low", namely high incidence, high disability rate, high preventability, and low awareness. With the intensification of population aging in China, the issue of hearing health among the elderly has become increasingly prominent. According to the seventh national population census and the report "Current Status and Development Trends of Hearing Health in China", approximately 120 million elderly people in China suffer from hearing impairment or impaired hearing, representing a huge group.
To implement the major decisions and deployments made at the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and to vigorously promote the deep integration of industry and education, as well as the solid application of new productive forces in the health care industry and the field of hearing rehabilitation, and to boost the high-quality development of schools and enterprises, the inaugural ceremony and unveiling ceremony of the Boyin Hearing Rehabilitation Industry College at Sichuan Nursing Vocational College was held at the Chengdu campus of the college on January 11.
Cao Li, the second-level inspector of the Sichuan Provincial Health Commission, Zhang Fanrong, the director of the Science and Education Department, Li Guoping, the first-level researcher of the Vocational Ability Construction Department of the Sichuan Provincial Human Resources and Social Security Department, Chen Guangqing, the director of the Sichuan Rehabilitation Aids Technology Service Center, and other relevant leaders attended the conference and delivered speeches. More than 360 people, including leaders from Sichuan Nursing Vocational College, senior management team from Boyin Hearing Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., industry experts, and all faculty and staff, participated in the conference.
At the meeting, Jiang Tao, Secretary of the Party Committee of Sichuan Nursing Vocational College, and Jiang Xianquan, Chairman of Boyin Hearing Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., delivered speeches on behalf of both parties. The Hearing Rehabilitation Industry College, jointly established by the college and Boyin Company, integrates teaching, scientific research, and practice.
Jiang Tao stated that the Boyin Hearing Rehabilitation Industry College of Sichuan Nursing Vocational College is an important measure guided by national policies, conforming to the development of the times and deepening the integration of industry and education. The Industry College aims to integrate high-quality resources from both parties, build a characteristic talent training base and an innovation hub for industry-education integration, and jointly create a model for the hearing rehabilitation industry.
